MP3 Library — Record and Transcribe Audio
Recording audio straight into your MP3 Library, uploading files, and turning any library file into a written transcript.
What the MP3 Library is for
The MP3 Library holds audio your agents and calls can use: hold music, greetings, announcements, IVR prompts, and recordings you want to keep. Open it from your dashboard, or go to triluna.app/mp3-library.
Each file is Private (only you), Organization (everyone in your current organization) or Public (anyone with the link). You can change this at any time with Edit on the file’s page.
Record now
- On the MP3 Library page, click Record now.
- Click Start recording. The first time, your browser asks for permission to use the microphone. Choose Allow.
- Speak, then click Stop. Play it back to check it; Record again throws it away and starts over.
- Give it a title, and optionally a description, category and visibility.
- If transcription is available on your account, leave Transcribe after saving ticked to get a transcript automatically.
- Click Save to library. You land on the new file’s page.
Recordings can be up to 60 minutes long. Whatever your browser records in, TriLuna saves it as an MP3, so it plays everywhere library files are used, including on calls.
If the browser says the microphone is blocked, allow it in the site settings (the icon to the left of the address bar) and try again.
Upload a file
Click Upload MP3, choose an audio file, give it a title, and click Upload.
Transcribe a file
Open any file you own and find the Transcript section below the player.
- Tick Separate speakers if more than one person talks in the recording. Leave it off for a single voice; it’s faster.
- Click Transcribe.
Audio is transcribed on TriLuna’s own servers and is never sent to an outside provider. Recordings are transcribed one at a time, so the page shows whether yours is waiting or transcribing, and roughly how long is left. Without speaker separation, an hour of audio takes about 40 minutes. You can leave the page; the transcript appears when it’s done.
When it’s finished you can Copy the text or download it as .txt, or as .srt / .vtt subtitles. Transcribe again makes a fresh transcript, for example with speaker separation turned on.
Anyone who can play the file can read its transcript. Only the file’s owner can start one.
If you don’t see a Transcribe button, transcription isn’t enabled on your account yet. Reach out to your account contact at TriLuna.
