Comments and @-Mentions on Conversations

Pull a teammate into a conversation
Every conversation page has a Comments box. Type @ and the first letter of a TriLuna member's community username to tag them. They automatically get read-only access to the conversation, can reply in the comments, and are notified on their phone and by email.

Adding a comment

Open any conversation (for example from Conversations or a campaign’s results), scroll to Comments, type your note and click Add Comment. Everyone who can see the conversation can see its comments, newest first.

Replying to a comment

Each comment starts its own thread. Click Reply under a comment to answer it directly instead of adding a new comment to the conversation.

  • Threads are listed newest first, like the comments themselves.
  • Replies sit under the comment they answer, oldest first, so a thread reads top to bottom like a chat.
  • One level only: replying inside a thread adds to the same thread rather than nesting further.

You can @-tag people in a reply too.

Liking a comment

Every comment and reply has a thumbs-up button. Click it to like the comment, and click again to take the like back. The number beside it is how many people liked it. Hover over it to see who. Likes don’t send notifications.

Tagging someone with @

  1. In the comment box, type @ followed by the first letter or two of the person’s community username. For example, @a lists usernames starting with “a”.
  2. Pick them from the list (arrow keys plus Enter, or click). This inserts their tag, for example @anthonytg.
  3. Add the rest of your comment and click Add Comment.

You can tag several people in one comment, or type a full @username straight in without using the list.

What happens when you tag someone

AccessThe conversation is shared with them read-only: they can listen to the recording and read the transcript, but can’t change or delete anything.
CommentsThey can read all comments and add their own, including tagging you back.
NotificationIf they use the TriLuna mobile app, they get a push notification with your comment. It also shows under the bell on their web dashboard.
EmailThey get an email with your comment and a View conversation button.

Tagging someone who already has access doesn’t change their access. They still get notified. Tagging yourself does nothing.

Notifications for new comments

You don’t need to be tagged to hear about new comments:

  • The conversation’s owner gets a mobile push notification for every comment someone else adds.
  • Anyone who has commented on the conversation gets a mobile push notification when someone else adds a comment or reply. If the reply is to your comment, the notification says so.

These notifications go to the TriLuna mobile app and the web app’s notification bell, not by email. Only being tagged sends an email.

Seeing notifications on the web

Every comment notification (being tagged, a reply to your comment, or a new comment on your conversation) also appears under the bell at the top of the web app dashboard, in a Comments & mentions section above your SMS messages. So if you dismiss the notification on your phone, you can still find it there.

  • The red number on the bell counts unread comment notifications plus unread SMS conversations.
  • Click a notification to open the conversation. Opening a conversation marks all of its comment notifications as read.
  • Mark all read clears the comment notifications without opening them.

Who can be tagged

Any active TriLuna member who has set a community username. Members without one don’t appear in the list.

Removing access

A tag can’t be undone by editing the comment. To stop someone seeing a conversation they were tagged on, contact support.
