TriLuna Community Username

Your community username
Claiming a community username gives you a public profile at triluna.app/<username> and switches on the features that need a public address — your Book now booking link, publishing conversations, and direct messages. It's one field on your profile, and nothing public appears until you set it.

Where to set it

Go to your profile and find TriLuna Community Username.

Type a name and the page checks availability as you type, telling you right away whether it’s free, taken, or not allowed. Save when you’re happy with it.

Until this field is set, anything that needs a public address stays switched off — including the Book now checkbox, which is greyed out with the hint “Set a community username above to enable this.”

What it unlocks

Book now — let people book time with youtriluna.app/<username>/booknow
Published conversationstriluna.app/<username>/calls/<id>
Direct messagesOthers can find and message you by username

Setting the username doesn’t publish anything on its own. Each feature above has its own switch — claiming the name just makes those switches available. Once it’s set, your profile page gets a Show QR code button. The code is a direct-message link — someone scans it in the TriLuna app to start a DM with you, so it’s handy for sharing in person. It isn’t a link to your profile or your booking page.

Rules for choosing one

  • 3 to 30 characters.
  • Letters, numbers, underscores and dashes only — no spaces, dots, or other punctuation.
  • Must be unique, compared case-insensitively: if JohnDoe is taken, johndoe is too. Your name keeps the capitalisation you typed, so JohnDoe displays as JohnDoe.
  • Some names are reserved and will be refused. These are words that would collide with a real page on the site or imply you’re part of the TriLuna team — things like admin, support, help, settings, meetings, agents, booknow, billing, privacy, and triluna itself. If you get “This username is reserved,” pick something more distinctive.

Good choices are short and recognisably you: your name (jordanlee), a handle you already use, or your name plus your company (jordan-northwind).

Can I change it later?

Yes. Edit the field on your profile and save, the same way you set it.

Two things to keep in mind before you do:

  • Your old links stop working. Your profile, booking link, and any published conversation URLs all contain your username, so anything you’ve already shared — an email signature, a business card, a calendar invite — will break. If you’ve handed your booking link to clients, update them.
  • Your old name is released. Once you change it, the previous username goes back in the pool and someone else can claim it.

Clearing the field entirely releases the name and takes your public profile down.

Common questions

Do I need one? Only for the public-facing features in the table above. You can use TriLuna’s meetings, agents, and calls perfectly well without ever claiming one.

Why is the Book now checkbox greyed out? Because there’s no username yet. A booking link has to live at an address, and triluna.app/<username>/booknow is that address. Set the username, save, and the checkbox becomes available — along with the Meeting types you offer options (Telephone / Video / In person) underneath it.

Someone has the name I want. Usernames are first come, first served, and we can’t transfer one between accounts. Try a variation — add your surname, your company, or a dash.

Is it the same as my login or display name? No. Your login email and display name are separate and stay private. The community username is the only part of your identity that appears in a public URL.

I have more than one TriLuna account. Claim the username on the account you actually sign in with. It’s easy to set it on a spare account and then publish a link that points at an empty profile. If you’re not sure which account is which, contact support before sharing a link.
