Reconnecting Someone Who Dropped Off a Phone Meeting

📞 Someone dropped? Call them back in.
During a live phone meeting the host can see who has fallen off the call and press Reconnect to dial them straight back into the room. This works on the web meeting page and in the TriLuna Groups and Bella apps.

What you see during a live call

The live participant list shows everyone on the call. When a participant’s phone line drops — bad reception, a dead battery, an accidental hang-up — their row changes:

  • On the web meeting page the name is greyed out with a (Disconnected) tag and a Reconnect button.
  • In the apps the person moves out of the live roster into a Disconnected section with a Reconnect button. The live participant count only counts people who are actually on the call.

TriLuna checks the call every few seconds, so a drop normally shows up within about five seconds.

Reconnecting a participant

  1. Find the person in the Disconnected section (apps) or the greyed-out row (web).
  2. Press Reconnect.
  3. TriLuna calls their phone. When they answer, they are placed back into the meeting unmuted and can speak right away.

While the call is ringing the row stays marked as disconnected. As soon as they pick up and are back in the room, the row returns to the live list. If they don’t answer, nothing changes and you can try again.

Meetings with a confirmation step

Some groups confirm each member before letting them into the meeting (the AI confirmer checks it’s really them and that they’re ready). Reconnect follows the same path: the returning member first hears the confirmer, then is bridged into the group once confirmed. They will show as disconnected until that bridge happens.

Voicemail never enters the meeting

Reconnect uses answering-machine detection. If the call goes to voicemail, TriLuna hangs up rather than letting a voicemail greeting play into the live meeting. Just try again in a moment, or ask the person to call the group line back.

”Must rejoin from their app”

Participants who joined from the app itself (rather than being dialed on a phone number) can’t be called back by TriLuna — there’s no phone line to dial. For them the Reconnect button is replaced by Must rejoin from their app. Ask them to open the meeting in their app and tap Join again.

The AI facilitator

If the AI facilitator itself drops, bring it back with Add AI Facilitator on the meeting screen (in the apps) or Reconnect on its row (on the web). Either way the AI rejoins the same meeting and picks up where it left off.

Frequently asked questions

Who can reconnect someone? The meeting host, the group owner, and anyone else who can open the live meeting screen for that group.

Can I reconnect someone I removed on purpose? Yes. A participant you disconnected shows up in the same Disconnected section, and Reconnect calls them back in.

The person says their phone never rang. Check the number on their row is correct, then try Reconnect again. If TriLuna can’t reach them, they can always dial the group’s phone number themselves to rejoin.

I pressed Reconnect and got “Conference not active”. The meeting has already ended on the phone side. Start a new meeting instead.
